(Live Music) New Fangled Bops

New Fangled Bops concert aims to provide a safe, but exciting space for Anchorage concert goers (primarily ages 16-21) that have an interest in local creative arts which aim to innovate and cathartically express. There is a serious lack of Anchorage venues that offer a space for loud, high energy, emotionally provocative, or otherwise creatively daring music, that are all also safe, sober, and accessible to the youth. We aim to change this, and should we find ourselves creating and scheduling future events, there will also be opportunities to have an artist lineup rotation, that allows for other artists seeking a large venue that is both safe and energetic to play at. These future shows would be aimed at showcasing local artists that already have prepared bodies of works, and are only lacking in an appropriate space to play those works at. In short; building a community where creative high energy music can be played safely, handled professionally, and yet still maintain its own creative aim; to provoke and be heard, all the while simultaneously offering a hand to youth who wish to participate in such an event
