This season, dozens of artists and volunteers have come together in a retelling of one of Shakespeare's greatest masterpieces; the story of the mythical Lear of Britain, and his descent into madness. This piece explores the dynamics of family, elder care, justice and loyalty, cognitive decline, the power of nature, and the use humor as a weapon against the darkness.
Performances run July 11-28th, Thursday-Saturdays at 7:30, and Sundays at 2:00 at Jack Townshend Point on the UAF Campus.
Parking is available behind the Museum of the North, and the Reichardt Building.
Tickets are available for purchase at http://www.fairbanksshakespeare.org and at the door.
This event takes place outdoors, rain our shine.
