Mint Cannabis Hosts Free Mammogram Screenings

The free mobile mammograms will be offered at the Mint's north Phoenix dispensary (17036 N. Cave Creek Rd.) on Friday, Oct. 11, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and at its Tempe dispensary (5210 S. Priest Drive) on Friday, Oct. 25, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

To make an appointment for a free professional mammogram exam, call (480) 967-3767. Walk-in patients are welcome, but appointments are preferred as a limited number of screening appointments are available.

As a result of COVID-19, more than 22 million cancer screenings were canceled or delayed, resulting in 80,000 missed cancer diagnoses. That number is staggering given that recent studies show that 1-in-8 women will develop breast cancer in their lives. Yet when caught early, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer is almost 100%.
