Monday Mixers Workout at Scottsdale Fashion Square Blends Balance and Peace

Much like a good yoga session, spending time with a beloved pet brings balance and peace. That's what makes the May beneficiary of Monday Mixers at Scottsdale Fashion Square an especially appropriate choice. Fitness fans who gather for the sunset workout guided by Yoga with April on Monday, May 20, will be supporting the Arizona Humane Society, which will receive 100% of proceeds from the event.

The Monday Mixers series brings together those who enjoy infusing a bit of variety into their fitness routine with a scenic sunset workout, followed by plenty of time to visit their favorite Scottsdale Fashion Square retailers and restaurants for a post-workout reward. Each session transforms the rooftop of the Purple Garage (located behind Toca Madera, across from Dillard's) into an outdoor fitness studio with spectacular views of Camelback Mountain and magnificent sunsets for a unique workout experience that nurtures connections between mind, body and soul.

The May session, which falls early in the month due to the Memorial Day holiday, will be the last of the spring; the Monday Mixers series will take a hiatus for the summer and return with cooler temps in the fall.

Beginners and seasoned pros alike will find their fit with the May session, led by April Denning of Yoga with April. The class celebrates movement, self-discovery, relaxation and breathing to cultivate a sense of harmony and balance within. In addition, DJ Thomas Gray returns with musical entertainment to keep energy levels high.

All proceeds from the May Monday Mixers event will go to the Arizona Humane Society, which works to save the most vulnerable animals and enrich the lives of pets and people. The Arizona Humane Society is a safety net for the most vulnerable animals-the sick, injured and abused-who are often turned away by other shelters. The Humane Society strives to elevate standards in animal welfare by being a leader in the industry.

Registered participants should check in at the rooftop of the Purple Garage (located behind Toca Madera and across from Dillard's) at least 15 minutes prior to the class start time.
