14th Annual Waterfront Fine Art & Wine Festival

Thunderbird Artists, the Southwest's premier fine art event producer, proudly presents the 30th Annual Spring Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival in downtown Carefree, March 14^th, 15^th & 16^th, 2025. The carefully curated selection of 150 juried fine artists showcases diverse styles and mediums, allowing attendees to discover new favorites, expand their artistic horizons, engage directly with the creators and learn about their creative processes and inspirations, all while listening to live musicians, sampling fine wines, flavored spirits, local microbrews, savory food, sweet treats and more!

Art:

Known in the art world as ‘… a Collectors’ Paradise’, ™ Thunderbird Artists prides itself on quality and diversity. The festival includes juried artists from around the country, exhibiting a wide range of oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, gouache, and photography, as well as ink, pencil, and charcoal drawings. Collectors with more surface space than empty walls can take home sculpture in stone, bronze, metal, hand-blown glass, wood, clay, gourds, and a wide range of one-of-a-kind jewelry. This year’s featured artist is mixed-media, collage artist, Aileen Frick.

 Wine and Spirits:

The pairing of fine art with wine creates a multisensory experience that appeals to a wide range of individuals. Art enthusiasts can appreciate the craftsmanship and creativity behind each piece while savoring the delicate flavors and aromas of different wines. Similarly, wine connoisseurs can indulge in their passion for exquisite beverages while immersing themselves in the world of art. Furthermore, this combination attracts a diverse audience, drawing in both art lovers and wine enthusiasts alike. This year’s participating wineries include Black Mesa Cellars, Celestial Artisan Meadery (honey wines located in Carefree), Figjam, King Frosch, Schlossadler International, Mediterranean Table, and Wilson Creek Winery. For those who prefer grains to grapes, there’s Adventurous Stills, Desert Diamond Distillery and Carefree Spirits. Patrons interested in sampling can purchase an engraved souvenir glass with tasting tickets—and unlike other festivals with designated alcohol zones, Thunderbird Artists events allow patrons to wander at will, sipping wine and immersing themselves in world-class art.
