Marko Topchii, Ukrainian guitarist

The Tucson Guitar Society presents the winner of the Guitar Foundation of America's International Artist Competition every year: It is a wonderful opportunity to see and meet the guitar stars of tomorrow. Join us to welcome the Ukrainian virtuoso Marko Topchii as he winds up this US tour of 50 cities. His program is wide-ranging, with music from Dowland and Bach to Poulanc, Ravel and Barrios, as well as composers of today such as Schevchenko, Hand, and Brouwer. It will surely be exciting!
Marko Topchii studied with, among others, Judicael Perroy, and he is the winner of over a hundred international competitions.
The concert is on the campus of the University of Arizona, at the School of Music's Holsclaw Hall. Parking is available nearby in the public garage on Park, just north of Speedway. Tickets are $35 for the general public, $30 for TGS members, and $10 for students.
