Killer Queen, the acclaimed tribute band, began their journey with performances at London University, echoing the early days of the legendary Queen. Their rapid rise in popularity led to a groundbreaking residency at London's Strand Theatre, making them the first tribute act to grace the West End, garnering nationwide BBC attention.
As their reputation flourished, Killer Queen received the "Worldwide Best Tribute Band" award at a Leicester Square ceremony hosted by Suggs from Madness. They also achieved a number one hit by recreating Queen's harmonies for Fatboy Slim's "The Real Life." Their success extended across Europe, where they played prestigious venues like Ahoy and the Forest National Arena, the latter being where Queen filmed iconic concert videos.
In a notable collaboration, Killer Queen joined forces with Bjorn Again and The Bootleg Beatles for a memorable Waverley Stadium show, leading to their selection for a re-staged tribute to Live Aid, organized by Sir Bob Geldof. They performed alongside him at a charity concert aimed at raising funds for the homeless.
By 2016, Killer Queen set their sights on the U.S., making a mark at Red Rocks Arena in Colorado, a venue synonymous with legendary acts. Their dynamic performances and dedication to honoring Queen continue to resonate, establishing Killer Queen as a premier tribute band in both Europe and America.
