Steep Canyon Rangers, known for their exceptional blend of traditional bluegrass and Americana, have long been recognized as some of the most influential songwriters in the genre. Hailing from the Appalachian and Piedmont regions of North Carolina, the band has built a reputation for their ability to bring bluegrass down from the mountains while incorporating a diverse range of regional influences. Over the course of their career, they've gained widespread recognition, earning three GRAMMY nominations and a win for Best Bluegrass Album with Nobody Knows You in 2013.

The band’s sound continues to evolve with the addition of Aaron Burdett, an award-winning singer-songwriter whose soulful voice and deep roots in folk tradition bring a fresh, emotional depth to the group. Burdett joins the Rangers' lineup alongside founding members Graham Sharp (banjo, vocals), Mike Guggino (mandolin/mandola, vocals), Nicky Sanders (fiddle, vocals), Mike Ashworth (drums, vocals), and Barrett Smith (bass, guitar, vocals). Together, they create music that reaches straight to the heart, with lyrics and melodies that can both soothe and challenge listeners.
