Hilton Anaheim is thrilled to host the second installation of the Canvas Conversations series, “Young at Art,” during the month of August. The series is in partnership with the Orange Community Arts Guild to elevate the guest experience at Hilton Anaheim through immersion in local culture and showcase works from local Anaheim and Orange County artists. The Young at Art exhibit will showcase a diverse range of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, digital art, mixed media and more, created by a group of young (8-18 years old) innovative artists from Orange County. The various creations reflect the unique perspectives and imaginations of the next generation of talented artists, and will be displayed at Hilton Anaheim beginning Monday, August 5th through Tuesday, September 3rd.

Artists that will be showcased include:

  1. Chloe Suos: Located in Santa Ana, Suos has been working in digital arts for several years and has a talent for cartoon-like portraits, taking inspiration from modern media such as comic books
  2. Keely Zamora: A local Mexican-American artist, Zamora enjoys experimenting with color, mixed media, and surrealistic ideas to make meaningful creations and often contributes to fundraising events with her artistic abilities
  3. Kylie Valerio: A recent graduate from El Modena High School, Valerio loves using mediums such as clay and acrylic painting to portray her own life experiences and recent media
  4. Lily VanDerHoek: Incoming freshman at El Modena High School, VanDerHoek is heavily influenced by music in her art and loves to create using markers, paints, and oil pastels
  5. Allison Jerry: Anaheim local, Jerry has a passion for studying art and science, having taken art lessons starting at 6 years old and draws themes from animals
  6. Melanie Yang: A member of the honors art program at Orange Lutheran High School, Yang loves drawing from life experiences and her surroundings using techniques such as watercolor and printmaking
  7. Clara Woods: A Florence, Italy-based painter, artist, and model, Woods held her first exhibition inspired by her muse, Frida Kahlo, in 2018, and has had her work showcased in 30 exhibitions across 3 continents. She experienced a prenatal stroke that resulted in an inability to read, write, or speak, but understands Portuguese, Italian, and English, and obtained an American visa for her extraordinary talents, which helped her move to California.

You don’t want to miss this inspiring display of fascinating creations by this up-and-coming group of young artists, and Hilton Anaheim is looking forward to seeing you at the exhibition!
