On Saturday, December 14, the Coachella Valley community is invited to participate in this year's National Wreaths Across America Day. The event will commence at noon at Desert Memorial Park Cemetery in Cathedral City. A short ceremony will precede a community wreath-laying at both Desert Memorial Park and Welwood Murray Cemeteries. This local event is part of a nationwide observance at over 4,600 locations. Volunteers will have the opportunity to place wreaths at the bases of veterans' headstones, honoring their service and remembering their sacrifices. The event is free and open to the public.
The event is hosted and coordinated by the Cahuilla Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Our goal is to honor all veterans interred in the Palm Springs Cemetery District. To sponsor wreath(s) for this year's event, visit https://wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/160279/Overview/?relatedId=0
