Featuring Guest Speaker and Author Mrs. Angela Grey | Book Signing to Follow
St. Bede the Venerable in La Canada Flintridge will host a Family Workshop “Grounding Your Family in Catholic Faith” featuring guest speaker and author Mrs. Angela Grey on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, in the Church. There will be a reception and book signing immediately following the workshop. While there is no cost to attend, suggested donation of $20.00 per family is requested. All are welcome.
Angela Baraquio Grey was crowned Miss Hawaii 2000 and Miss America 2001. As the first teacher, first Asian, and only Filipina Miss America in the program's 103-year history, Angela championed her platform of Character in the Classroom: Teaching Values, Valuing Teachers, and used her over $100,000 scholarship awards to earn a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, which prepared her for her current role as principal of St. Anthony of Padua School. Angela married her high school sweetheart, Tinifuloa Grey, and together they have 5 beautiful children.
As the 8th born of ten children, Angela was raised Catholic and has continued to cultivate an ever-increasing love for her faith through the years. She is grateful to be a cancer survivor, and has a strong devotion to Our Blessed Mother.
