Caltrans and Clean California in partnership with Refuse Refuse San Francisco, Keep America Beautiful, Keep California Beautiful, National Park Service, and the local community, will be hosting an event to continue to transform and beautify Battery Chester at Fort Miley in San Francisco on Saturday, Oct. 19. Space for up to 100 registered volunteers is available to help restore the historical coastal gun battery in the National Park Service's Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Volunteer activities include removing invasive plant species, painting over graffiti, and picking up litter. Volunteers will also be able to provide input on how the area can be re-envisioned as a future community gathering space.

Details: Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make a difference in the community! Join us on Oct. 19 for a special event to transform the historic Battery Chester at Fort Miley. Volunteers will work to beautify and preserve the local area and celebrate progress to date.
Volunteers will meet at El Camino del Mar Parking Lot (2300-2404 El Camino Del Mar, San Francisco, CA 94121.).
