Alexander’s Steakhouse in San Francisco has announced that it will be hosting a whisky paired dinner in collaboration with Bruichladdich Distillery on Tuesday, August 23 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The four-course prix fixe menu offered has been curated by Chef Eric Upper and is priced at $195.00 per person. Tickets and menu/pairing details are available via https://www.exploretock.com/alexanderssanfran/event/357237/bruichladdich-dinner.

Guests who attend the Bruichladdich dinner will also have free access to the The Water of Life screening at Lee Neighborhood Theaters (2149 Chestnut Street, San Francisco) on Wednesday, August 24 at 7:00 p.m. The film is a feature documentary that focuses on the craftsmen and renegades at the heart of the whisky revolution that turned the stagnant scotch whisky industry of the 1980s into the success that it is today.

Bruichladdich Distillery is located on the Rhinns of the isle of Islay in Scotland. Focused on the importance of terroir and the production of a natural product, the distillery has become known for its single malt Scotch whiskies including unpeated Bruichladdich, heavily peated Port Charlotte and super-heavily peated Octomore.

Alexander’s is a fine dining interpretation of the modern American steakhouse with hints of Japanese influences throughout the menu. It is renowned for offering one of the largest varieties of domestic and imported Wagyu steak in the United States. Highlights of the upscale, contemporary design of the restaurant include a three-tiered dining space, exposed brick walls, dramatic public display wine racks, high ceilings with skylights, wood and terrazzo flooring plus carpeting, banquette seating, custom Japanese shoji screens, colorful floral arrangements, and an exhibition kitchen. The bar offers a robust section of contemporary, classic and original cocktails. The award-winning international wine list includes about two dozen selections available by the glass.

Alexander’s Steakhouse in San Francisco is located at 448 Brannan Street between Third and Fourth Streets. The restaurant is open nightly for dinner from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. For more information or for reservations, which can also be made via OpenTable.com, call (415) 495-1111.
