Old Santa Ynez Days

Fun for everyone in the historic township of Santa Ynez on the weekend of June 21. The 60th Anniversary celebration of Old Santa Ynez Days starts with a kickoff dinner from 6-9pm at the Santa Ynez Historical Museum and Parks-Janeway Carriage House Put on your boots and head to dinner featuring a traditional pig roast bbq and live music by Victoria Bailey and her band.

The Museum will also offer free admission to the public on Saturday, June 22, during the Old Santa Ynez Days celebration and a pie judging contest will take place at 1:30 Saturday, in the Museum courtyard, with our own Santa Ynez "celebrity" judges and owners of the Baker's Table, Ellie's Tap and Vine and Leonardo's Italian Ristorante. Be sure to see the collection of stagecoaches and saddles in this gem of a museum.

The Old Santa Ynez Days Street Faire and Parade will be held on Saturday, June 22 from 9am-3pm.. The parade will begin at 10am on Saturday morning, with the Santa Ynez Elks Lodge #2640 riding as this years Grand Marshals. Don't miss this truly small town parade! Local artisans will be part of the outdoor vendors market, plus Santa Ynez boutiques, wine and olive tasting rooms, a custom hat shop, ranch and home stores, and farm to fork dining options will be part of your experience in downtown Santa Ynez.

Dance instructor, Vanessa Robertson, will give free line dance instruction on Sagunto Street at high noon, the community is welcome to join in. Live music all day with Terry and the Ripleys, Paquito Herrera, and Beau Red. A free kids area that includes pony rides, face painting, petting zoo, games, the traditional tortilla toss and more. Horse drawn carriage rides around town will be complimentary.

The Old Santa Ynez Days Rodeo will round up the weekend and take place on Saturday, June 22 beginning at 3:00pm and on Sunday beginning at 2:00pm. This is a PRCA qualifying event with bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback bronc, team roping barrel racing, and more. There will be a stick horse race and mutton busting for the kids.

Spend the day or the weekend in the township of Santa Ynez. The ForFriends Inn, Genevieve Hotel and the Chumash Casino Resort and Spa are all in walking distance to the Old Santa Ynez Days festivities.
