Aviation Mishaps

Most of us travel on commercial flights without a lot of concern for our safety. While the safety questions are always in the back of our minds, they are tucked WAY back there for most of us. The fact is that mile for mile traveling by commercial air remains by far the safest way to travel, but it’s not perfect. Why is it so safe? What are the REAL risks that remain? And how does “the system” respond when a mishap occurs? Instructor: Mark Dickerson: MS in Aero and Astro Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Regis University. He has experience as an FAA and USAF Flight Instructor, a Test Pilot, an Adjunct College Faculty member, and was President of the Colorado Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen. He is also a volunteer with the Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management. Cost: Free class, but participants must register online starting November 2.
