Debbie Bright: Kaleidoscope is a special exhibition of paintings selected from Debbie Bright’s Kaleidoscope series showing at The Bula Barua Gallery from April 9 to May 9, 2021. The exhibition focuses on the artist’s exploration of fauna and architecture local to the beautiful city of St. Petersburg. Each work is painted in acrylics to look like a mosaic, with hundreds of tiny sections coming together to create images of eye-catching animals and dynamic cityscapes. The exhibition opens on April 9, 2021 and runs one month through May 9, 2021.

About the artist:

Debbie Bright, a hairdresser by trade, is a proud, long-time resident of St. Petersburg, Florida. She is a self-taught artist mentored by Judi Dazzio and many other talented creatives at the Dazzio Art Society in St. Petersburg’s Art District. Her paintings can be found in private and corporate collection both locally and internationally.

An eclectic artist, Debbie paints with bright acrylics and plays with textured surfaces. She enjoys transforming ordinary subjects into extraordinary expressions of color and design. When painting, Debbie describes feeling as beautiful as a sunset and chaotic as a storm coming alive inside of her. These diverse emotions fuel her need to create, whether she wants to or not!
