Take a step back in time and discover the lush paradise that Antarctica once was. Join Fernbank in uncovering the now-frozen continent’s prehistoric secret: dinosaurs. The film “Dinosaurs of Antarctica” is now playing at 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. daily at Fernbank Museum – months before its national premiere in 2022. Roam the primitive forests and thick swamps with bizarre dinosaurs and colossal amphibians. Enter a surreal world of bug-eyed giants and egg-laying mammals – where survival means enduring the sunless, six-month polar winter surrounded by meat-eaters with night vision. Join intrepid Antarctic scientists on a quest to understand the ice continent’s profound transformation – and to predict the future as humans drive dramatic change. Welcome to the lost prehistoric world of Gondwana. Make sure not to miss the special companion exhibit, “Antarctic Dinosaurs,” free with general museum admission. Film tickets can be purchased for an additional $6.95 per guest.
