Ho'opili Tribal Council (formerly known as the Oahu Intertribal Council) is hosting its 48th Annual Honolulu Intertribal Powwow at Bishop Museum in Honolulu, Hawai'i on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22, 2024. Doors open at 9am with Native American and Indigenous arts and craft vendors ready to sell their handcrafted merchandise. The Grand Entry of dancers begins at 10am. Everyone is invited to attend this two-day event, featuring Native American traditional and contemporary style of dancing, drumming, and singing. Navajo frybread and tacos will be offered, along with a variety of food trucks, keiki crafts and educational booths.

The Head Staff at this year's Honolulu Powwow includes:
- Head Man dancer: Baac Garcia - Tohono O'odham Nation from Sells, Arizona
- Head Lady dancer: Kat Warren - Dine' Native from Red Mesa, Utah
- MC: Clifton Goodwill - Ojibwe, Plains Cree, Lakota, and Dakota from Reserve, Kansas
- Arena Director: Jerod Pushetonequa - Meskwaki Nation, Tama, Iowa
- Host Drum: Maswadae - Yavapai Nation from Ft. McDowell, Arizona
- Guest Drum: Red Earth Singers - Meskwaki Nation from Tama, Iowa
- Invited Drums: 808NDNZ, All Nations and Heady Creek Singers
- Invited Guest Dancers: Canku One Star and Nanabah Keedinihii
- Muckleshoot Veterans Color Guard
The Ho'opili Tribal Council offers O'ahu residents an opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, flavor and spirit of Turtle Island. For two days, Bishop Museum will be transformed into a gathering place for Indigenous people who live in Hawai'i as well as visitors from the US continent, Alaska and Canada. Audiences will enjoy the lively footwork of various dance styles from many tribal nations, to include grass dancers, fancy shawl and jingle dress dancers as well as the stately eloquence of traditional dancers. There are ample volunteer opportunities for those wanting to help and no experience is required.
