Goose Island Tap Takeover and Beer Dinners at Old Town Pour House

Old Town Pour House (1419 N. Wells) is partnering with Goose Island for one of the iconic brewery’s largest tap takeovers ever. Conveniently, the event falls in line with Old Town Pour House’s 10^th Anniversary and to celebrate, the taps and the music will be flowing for a takeover like no other. There will be two sneak-peek beer dinners (Wednesday 2/23 and Thursday, 22/24) and the takeover event on Friday, February 25^th  (free admission). More details and ticket information on each event are included below.

Goose Island Tap Takeover at Old Town Pour House (details):

On Friday, February 25^th, 45+ taps will be taken over by Goose Island, featuring iconic and exclusive brews including a variety of Bourbon County Stout (2 yr. Reserve Rye, Cherrywood, Midnight Orange, Barleywine, and others!), vintage pours of acclaimed brews like Matilda, Lolita, and Gillian, over 20 barrel-aged selections, and much, much more. Also featured proudly on tap by the Old Town Pour House team, is their collaborative beer with Goose Island, Bottlenectar. The light-bodied and crisp pale ale is one of the top brewery/restaurant collaborations around, incorporating the Huell Melon Hop - One that has been growing in popularity among top brewers – which offers an incredibly compelling finish. An additional 17 taps will feature a variety of core and vintage brews by Virtue Cider, a Goose Island sister brand, highlighting an amazing lineup of their intriguing and refreshing ciders.

Entry to the tap takeover is FREE  - Table’s will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limited number of reservations open between 11 a.m. and noon (ahead of the first tapping). An incredible lineup of tappings will be occurring throughout the day, and Old Town Pour House’s full menu  --  Filled with beer-friendly favorites – will be available all day.

In anticipation of the main event, Old Town Pour House will host two, limited-capacity, sneak-peek beer dinner events -- One on Wednesday, February 23^rd and one on Thursday, February 24^th. The 5-course beer dinner will include expert pairings by Goose Island to accompany an eclectic menu that celebrates the flavors of each and every brew. For both dinners(7 p.m. start time), guests will also enjoy the chance to hear from Goose Island brewers directly.
