Haunted Rock Island Roadhouse Paracon

Kick off spooky season 2024 by attending the 2^nd annual Haunted Rock Island Roadhouse Paracon on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a VIP investigation led by Get Haunted from 8 p.m. to Midnight.

The Haunted Rock Island Roadhouse (formerly known as the Haunted Rock Island YMCA) is located in the heart of Historic Rock Island, Illinois on the mighty Mississippi River and is the perfect location for both new and experienced investigators as it has a very mischievous past.  Not only has it served as a YMCA  (1913-1977), but as a brothel run by the infamous Helen Van Dale, a speakeasy, has ties to the mob (John Looney and Al Capone), housed a murderer, had multiple deaths, and so much more.  There have even been spirits of American soldiers present, as they would stay at the YMCA free of charge if they showed up in uniform.  Many who visit or investigate this extremely active location walk away with personal, spine tingling experiences.

With over 120 vendors joining us from coast to coast, this event will be a gateway to exploring the unknown.  There will, without a doubt, be something for everyone.  Whether you are into the paranormal, big foot, cryptids, extraterrestrials, metaphysical, crystals, herbalism, astrology, mysticism, spiritualism, alternative healing practices, readings and so much more every fan of the esoteric will want to be a part of this extraordinary conference.

This is a family-friendly convention that will also have activities and opportunities for children, including face painting and photo opportunities with the Ghostbuster vehicle.

We will have multiple presentation rooms with several exclusive presentations and collaborations including: The Matchup:  Spirit vs. Angel with Sarah Lemos and Jodi Dehn, Josh Purvis, CL Thomas, Betsy Kowalski, Michelle LeBaron, a pre-recorded presentation by Ursula Bielski, and join the Packs of Packman Paranormal for their presentation on Big Foot just to name a few.

There will be interactive workshops including building a rempod with Lauren Haunts and Scrying Classes with the lovely Kat Armstrong of Paranormal Exposures.  Back by popular demand will be Josey Roberts of Silent Explorers and From the Ashes Paranormal doing the Deaf Paranormal Investigator Experience which was highly popular last year.

Haunted Happy Hour, Inc., the official beverage of the Haunted Rock Island Roadhouse will be serving an assortment of their delicious coffee, including the exclusive Helen’s Black Forrest Blend, a special custom blend coffee made for this event!

Hap’s Backyard BBQ, Streets of Italy, and Justin’s Tacos will be serving up delicious, mouthwatering dishes.  Grindhead Specialty Coffee will be serving up their refreshing Bill’s  “World Famous” Lemonade, Smartfruit Smoothies & Refreshers, Monster Energizers and CheesKake Ko Cheesecake…a coffee ship on wheels!  Happy Hippies Creations, LLC will also be serving up an assortment of hot and cold beverages.  They will even have kid friendly beverages!

The incredible two-time Psychic Medium of the Year Rick Hayes will be one of our Headliners giving his presentation:  Being Psychic Medium, followed by a 2 hour gallery reading (tickets required for gallery reading).  You definitely don’t want to miss it!

The VIP Investigation will be led by the extremely talented Rob Stachowicz, Sara Villani and Dani Marie of Get Haunted/Paranormally Blonde and will go from 8 p.m. – Midnight.  Not only will you get a sample of their Making Sense of Your Senses Program, but a full on Paranormal Investigation with some of the best in the business

Rock Island Roadhouse Tours  $20 add on

Guided Tours of this extremely haunted building will be led by Linduh Roelens of Paragem.  Tours will last approximately 1 ½ hours and cover all floors of the building including the basement.

Build a Rempod Workshop  $60 Add On

The beautiful Laruen Hellekson of Lauren Haunts will be hosting a workshop where you can build your own rempod and then investigate with it!  $60 registration fee includes all tools and supplies you need to build your rempod.

Deaf Paranormal Investigator Experience:    No Charge—Registration required as spots are limited

Josey Roberts of Silent Explorers and From the Ashes Paranormal will return with this incredible investigation where you wear ear plugs and experience an investigation in Josey’s shoes.

We will also have a raffle with a plethora of incredible items including a pair of Delco Goggles!
