Hatch, the breakthrough cannabis experience beloved by patients and customers alike since its opening in Addison in 2016, announces a new location at 1500 E. Lake Cook Rd. in Wheeling, opening April 5. Hatch is ranked in the top 20% of all Medical dispensaries in Illinois, and is lauded for its stylish comfortable environment, broad product selection, and friendly knowledgeable service. Although the new location in Wheeling will be Adult Use only, Hatch plans to offer the same high- touch service experience and vast product selection, but in a reimagined, high-design setting rooted in comfort and care, with added amenities for a host of new in-store opportunities.
The new Hatch will occupy what was formerly a freestanding TGIFriday’s adjacent to a Target Superstore and Binny’s Beverage Depot. The 5,800 square foot former restaurant was totally gutted and reimagined as a next level dispensary experience, offering a curated selection of premium cannabis accessories and lifestyle goods as well as a large lounge area where Hatch will host a variety of exciting and educational cannabis-related events on a regular basis Featuring a wide range of interesting, industry-specific topics, including seminars on the benefits of cannabis, how to evaluate different strains, how to use cannabis to treat certain conditions, and how to cook with cannabis. All events will be livestreamed for those not able to attend in person, and will be available online on Hatch’s website as an ongoing resource for the cannacurious.
The space is designed by DMAC Architecture, which is known for its creative and immersive architecture in hospitality, wellness and other consumer facing spaces. Recent projects include the award-winning flagship Midtown Athletic Club and Hotel in Chicago and the in-progress Rivers Casino expansion in Des Plaines.
Concurrent with the new opening, Hatch is excited to announce a $100,000 donation to Oakton Community College to create the Hatch Social Equity Opportunity Scholarship. The scholarship will support social equity students enrolled in the College’s cannabis programs by providing resources for tuition, books and fees. Additionally, the scholarship will support internships at Hatch for qualified social equity students who are interested in learning the ropes of operating a dispensary and perhaps applying for their own dispensary license in the future. Hatch chose to donate to Oakton Community College due to its status as a leader in cannabis education and commitment to helping to build a trained cannabis workforce.
Hatch Wheeling will offer a broad selection of cannabis products including flower concentrates, edibles, tinctures, capsules, beverages, and topicals, all at competitive prices. Open seven days a week, the dispensary will continue on with the brand mission to provide guests and customers with an elevated experience, hyper-focused on wellbeing above all else.
Hatch Wheeling’s is located on Lake Cook Road just 2 miles west of 294. Hours of operation will be 9 am to 9 pm, Monday – Saturday, and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. To learn more about Hatch, please visit https://gohatch.com/.
