The program titled, "Sounds Familiar: Music You've Heard Before, but Where?", will feature familiar melodies like the William Tell and Barber of Seville Overtures by Rossini, selections from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, Bizet's Habanera, featuring Mezzo-Soprano Amy Maude Helfer, and more. Audiences of all ages will enjoy this unique and informative program.
Concerts will be presented on Saturday, November 23rd at 3:00 PM at Momomoy Regional High School, and Sunday, November 24th, 3:00 PM at Yarmouth Senior Center.
The Cape Community Orchestra (CCO) is an all volunteer full symphony orchestra, drawing more than 50 talented musicians from the entire Cape area. They represent a broad slice of professions including, high school musicians, teachers, doctors, engineers, scientists from WHOI, retirees, and many others. The CCO was founded in 1990 and continues to thrive today.
Under the direction of our very talented music director, Nancy Torrente, the orchestra has grown in numbers and proficiency.
Concerts are free, but donations are always appreciated.
