Jerry's love for the saxophone started at age 10 when his mother gifted him his first saxophone. His passion grew rapidly, and he played in the Potomac Middle School Band under Eugene Garrett and the North Hagerstown High School band directed by Walter Atherton, which led to his peers naming him 'Most Musical' in the senior yearbook.
Jerry, using the artist's name, Eirinn Abu, meaning "Irish Forever" is a renowned, platinum-selling saxophone recording artist with a captivating sound that blends instrumental pop with epic songs from our shared history. Over his career, he's released eight critically acclaimed solo albums, from his debut "Do You Want It" to his latest masterpiece, "ANTHEM." His prowess has even led to Dolly Parton featuring on his albums "A New Creation," "Forever in Love," and "Sax in the Country," singing her classic "I Will Always Love You."
Eirinn Abu along with his producer and guitarist Manny Lopez is bringing his ANTHEM tour to the Maryland Theatre of Hagerstown Maryland Saturday November 23rd at 7:00 p.m.
This fantastic event will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, sponsored by various supporters who are dedicated to aiding injured heroes, homeless veterans, and their families.
