Open Barn Day at Willowind

Willowind Therapeutic Riding Center is excited to announce its annual Open Barn Day scheduled for Sunday, May 19, from 11 am to 2 pm. This well-loved event, proudly sponsored by First National Bank of Bar Harbor, promises a creative array of family activities including horse themed crafts provided by ArtWaves, a barn scavenger hunt, tie dye shirt making, and more! Guests will have the opportunity to meet a few of our cherished horses while our dedicated staff and volunteers showcase riding and groundwork techniques. David Folger, the executive director of Willowind, expresses his excitement in opening the barn doors to the community. "We look forward to welcoming everyone and provide a glimpse of how Willowind has been carrying our community
since 1998. It's a special place that provides a safe and enriching environment where riders build skills and achieve life goals through equine-assisted activities.
