Women for Healthy Rural Living (WHRL) announces its biggest Milbridge Days Auctions ever. There will be two concurrently running auctions-an online silent auction and an in-person raffle auction. This event raises funds to support critical community health programs, including Incredible Edible Milbridge and Milbridge Commons Wellness Park.
The Online Silent Auction
The online silent auction features unique items, including 20 handmade wooden serving trays imagined by local artists, all original pieces of functional art.
Other online silent auction items include a week-long stay at a mid-century modern villa in the south of France (it sleeps 7 with a 7-minute walk to the beach!); a Secret Garden Soiree: Gourmet Dinner and Concert; a two-night stay at a Great Barrington, Mass Air B AND B, a long weekend at a Cherryfield, Maine Air B AND B, a custom-painted children's Fairytale Table and Chair set, and a locally-crafted children's mud kitchen, similar to the one at Milbridge Common's Wellness Park.
Bidding online is easy, allowing supporters from near and far to participate. Bidding opens on Friday, July 19, and runs through Sunday, July 28. Items may be viewed at WHRL's Main Street, Milbridge office from July 23 to 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit http://www.whrl.org/auction for more details!
The In-Person Raffle Auction
The in-person raffle auction is Friday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants can win over 100 prizes and need not be present to win. There is something for everyone, from unique experiences and handcrafted goods to essential services, children's items, and luxury items. The raffle auction will feature another children's mud kitchen.
