For 2022, Gulf Coast Teen Homeschool Social Club (GCT) presents a Fairytale Gala 2022. Open to all homeschool teens age 13-18. Formal attire required. Recognition of Athletes. Royalty Court drawing. Drinks & Snacks

Ages: 13-18 (8th grade to High School Senior)

Attire: This dance will require formal attire. We reserve the right to deny entry to those who are not appropriately dressed for the event. (Knee-length, miniskirts are not allowed.)
-Girls must wear a (1) floor or tea length formal gown, or (2) feminine formal pantsuit
-Boys must wear either a (1) tuxedo or (2) suit coat and tie

We will have a High School Royalty Court and Athlete Recognition (only 14+). Only high school seniors can be selected for the royalty court. Names will be drawn from a hat to decide members of the court so everyone has a fair chance.

Tickets: will go on sale in the fall. There will be a limited number available. Price has not been determined.

General Admission: 7pm to 11pm. Ticket link available on the Facebook event. DJ dancing in the ballroom. Snacks and drinks included. Free parking. ATM onsite.

You must join the Facebook group and answer the questions to be added. All details are available there. The event will be chaperoned so it is a safe environment for the teens to have a great time and make awesome memories.

Standards of Conduct: We ask that all guests attending behave maturely and respectfully. Students who violate these guidelines will have one verbal warning. The second time, a parent will be called and the student will be asked to leave the event.
*No dirty dancing (twerking, grinding, similar dancing)
*No roughhousing
*No extreme public displays of affection (groping, french kissing, necking, heavy petting, etc..)
*No foul language
*Be respectful of all attendees and adult chaperones.
*We discourage negative peer pressure (social, emotional or physical). Bullying and harassment will not be tolerated.

Gulf Coast Teen Homeschool Social Club (GCT) is a homeschool club who's mission is to create and host fun, safe social functions for grades 9th - 12th; our club is supervised by parents but is mostly ran by the student council. Students have voted to allow middle school students in 7th or 8th grade to attend some of the casual events. Be sure to read the description for each event.

The student planning committee is comprised of members of the High School Event Planning Class led by Suzanne Stafford of Elemental Design. Students plan events for peers for high school credit.

Purpose of GCT is to provide student led social events for homeschool teens on the MS Gulf Coast. Events are inclusive and open to all interested homeschool students. No membership fee to participate, just pay the event ticket price. Events are a social activity plus fundraiser to help offset the cost for the formal dances. We hope to offer a Senior Scholarship at the spring prom (pending fundraising and ticket sales).
