INDIVISIBLE membership is FREE – but Freedom and Democracy are NOT.

Watauga County residents are NOT fully represented by our elected officials. Gerrymandering, the current power grab, and out-of-state campaign contributions allow Republicans in the North Carolina Legislature to push extreme agendas that consolidate power and harms others.

North Carolina Republicans in Washington are already submitting legislation in support of the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025, and on behalf of right-wing think tanks and bill mills. These legislative bills are drafted, duplicated, and submitted to the State Legislature by organizations that have NOTHING to do with North Carolina. OUR elected officials are NOT drafting these legislative bills – Special Interest Groups are doing it for them.

Think about the recent "Hurricane Relief" bill (SB382): This bill does NOTHING to assist those impacted by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina. SB382 ONLY consolidates power with Republicans in the State Legislature. SB382 strips power from the incoming Governor of North Carolina, State institutions, and the State judicial appointment process.

Action by action, day by day, group by group, INDIVISIBLE members are remaking our democracy.

Brought together to resist the Trump agenda, INDIVISIBLE is a movement of thousands of group leaders and more than a million members taking regular and increasingly complex actions to resist the Trump agenda.

WE elect local champions for democracy and fight for progressive policies.

WE strive for a real representative democracy – of, by, and for ALL the people – not a political system that only benefits corporations/billionaires at the expense of the middle/lower class.

WE oppose all forms of theocracy, kleptocracy, oligarchy, authoritarian, and dictatorial leaderships.

INDIVISIBLE was founded in response to Trump’s election, but we know that Trump is a symptom of a sick democracy – not its cause.

WE face two fundamental problems: 1) Our democracy was created to favor wealthy white Americans, and 2) an alliance of politicians, White Nationalists, Christian Nationalists, and billionaires are now actively working to undermine democracy and cement their hold on power permanently.

WE must sustain a democracy that reflects a broader multi-racial and multi-cultural “we the people”; a democracy that works for all of us, and not just corporations and billionaires.

We seek a democracy that represents and protects everyone.

Our opponents operate on a divide and conquer strategy, so we treat an attack on one like an attack on all. We show up for each other, especially for those facing ideological attacks. These attacks are often directed at LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and immigrant communities. Non-profit groups are being labeled as "terrorist organizations"; freedom of speech, assembly, and the press are under attack; and social safety nets are on the chopping block.

INDIVISIBLE is recruiting across the nation; educating and training future leaders; building strong groups and coalitions; and organizing a strong movement. We build and sustain our movement’s power by helping individuals take leadership. They grow and lead local INDIVISIBLE groups, take independent action, and coordinate their efforts with local leaders and organizations.

As a movement, our power comes from coordinated national campaigns. When we act together, WE ARE INDIVISIBLE.

INDIVISIBLE is a social movement organization that grew to become a professional team of organizers, wonks, campaigners, digital and data specialists, and other experts to support the movement and fight for progressive values.
