The Big Chill

The Big Chill is a free ice-cream-themed event hosted by The Shalom Project. At The Big Chill a collection of community organizations prepare gallons and gallons of homemade ice cream for event-goers to sample free of charge! The event will also feature live music, food trucks, face painting, and free Cheerwine floats, provided by Food Lion and Cheerwine. The Big Chill will be Saturday, July 20th at Bailey Park from 3 to 6 pm.

All funds raised at The Big Chill will support the programs of The Shalom Project, which work to challenge cycles of poverty in Winston-Salem and beyond. Those programs include a Clothing Closet, Food Pantry, free Medical Clinic, and Flourish program, designed to support women heads-of-household as they step up out of poverty.
