Murphy's Taproom and Carriage House NY's Eve Comedy Spectacular: Mark Riley

Say goodbye to 2024 with laughs and welcome 2025 with a New Year's Eve Comedy Spectacular on Sunday, December 31 at Murphy's Taproom and Carriage House, Bedford, NH.

The laughter will come loud and proud as powerhouse comedians Mark Riley, Jody Sloane, Bill Douglas and Jolanda Logan star in an hilarious send-off of 2024. The show is presented by Murphy's and Scamps Comedy Productions.

Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 (cash only) at the door. All seats are general admission. Showtime is 8:30 p.m. Patrons are invited to make reservations for dinner in the restaurant before the show.

Mark Riley is an energetic Boston headliner with a unique perspective on everyday situations. was once a professional ice hockey referee (he spent time in the NHL) who also ran a Gymboree. He headlines in Boston and top rooms in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Atlantic City. A former first runner-up at the Boston Comedy Festival, Riley is also a regular at the prestigious Hampton Beach Comedy Festival. Among those he's performed with are Steven Wright, Joe Rogan and Lenny Clarke. He headlines colleges and corporate shows and has worked as an actor in commercials and industrial films. He co-hosts the popular Chirping Zebras podcast.

Coast Guard veteran Jody Sloane cut her entertainment teeth doing her sit-down shtick as a cheeky "conducktor" named Penny Wise on the Boston Duck Tours. Her duck tour experience - 4,000 tours - was the perfect tee-up to becoming a stand-up comic. She's now a regular at comedy venues including Headliners Comedy Clubs throughout New England, Gotham Comedy Club in New York City, Comix Comedy Club at Mohegan Sun, Nick's Comedy Stop, plus roadhouses, Elks Clubs and dives from Portland to New York.

Bill Douglas is a middle school science teacher by day and at night he's still a middle school science teacher but has also cracked top comedy stages in the Northeast and Midwest. He's been selected to perform at the prestigious Edinburgh (Scotland) Fringe Festival, and worked several New England theaters including the Mass Arts Center and Cotuit Center for the Arts. He's also performed at the less prestigious Missouri Mule Festival, as he compiles a resume of interesting show business experiences. He has shared the stage with headliners such as Jimmy Dunn, Paul Nardizzi, Carolyn Plummer and Paul D'Angelo.

Jolanda Logan is a stand-up comedian performing all over New England, with her own unique mix of upbeat charm and sharp observational humor. A devoted wife and mom of one, she makes no secret of annoyingly adoring the two guys in her life. When she isn't on stage, she is a marketing exec and Muay Thai Kickboxing instructor (and second degree black belt). But she always prefers being on stage!
