This December, Portsmouth Pro Musica (PPM), under the artistic direction of Priscilla Stevens French, will celebrate the group's 40th anniversary season with a program titled "A December Day." PPM will be joined in the performance by accompanist Adelyn Nelson, the PMAC Sandpipers Youth Chorus, and flutist Erin Dubois.

The cornerstone piece of the program is Where the Owl Lives, an original composition by Greg Brown with text by poet Mimi White. Where the Owl Lives was commissioned for PPM's 40 th anniversary, and this performance marks its world premiere. In addition, the program will feature three Renaissance works by Giovanni Palestrina and Hans Hassler, and several other holiday selections, including R.L. Pearsall's In Dulci Jubilo and John Rutter's Christmas Night.

Performances will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. at Phillips Church, Tan Lane, Exeter, NH, and Sunday, Dec. 15, at 3:00 p.m. at South Church, 292 State Street, Portsmouth, NH.

Tickets: $20 for adults and $15 for students/seniors. All tickets are general admission and can be used at either performance. Advance tickets can be purchased at http://www.ppmnh.org.
