Tannery Pond Presents: Wild Irish Acres’ Dancers and the Galloway Gaelic Pipes & Drums group for an afternoon of Irish music and dance.

The Wild Irish Acres’ Dancers is a non-competitive family dance group based in Saratoga Springs, NY. It welcomes dancers of all ages and abilities. Dance master, Teri Hughes, has been teaching this group for many years as her own family (four generations) have danced with her. The group will learn and dance all varieties of dances both Hard Shoe and Ghillies (soft shoes) including the Gig, Real, Hornpipe, Slip Gig, and other set dances. The Wild Irish Acres practice at the Parting Glass Restaurant in Saratoga and perform from Clifton Park to Glens Falls in schools, senior and assisted living homes, various halls (Hibernians), and local Irish Restaurants/Pubs throughout the year although the month of March is their busiest season.

The Galloway Gaelic Pipes and Drums was established in 1985, Galloway Gaelic Pipes and Drums is a parade and competition band based out of South Glens Falls, NY.  Their goal is simple: to play well, enjoy ourselves and our music, and to continue to improve as solo players and as an ensemble. They welcome students of all ages and playing levels to learn either piping or drumming!

Sunday, March 26 | 3-5:30 PM. Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 Day of Concert, FREE for Youth 18 and younger.
