Austin Quiltfest 2024

The Austin Area Quilt Guild (AAQG) has hosted a Quilt Show every other year since 1980. This year, at Palmer Event Center, the juried Show will be on Friday September 27th and Saturday September 28th at 10am - 6pm and on Sunday, September 29th from 12-5pm. over 400 traditional pieced, applique, hand and machine made, modern and art quilts can be viewed. Demonstrations and Over 50 vendors of quilts and quilting supplies will be available each day. AAQG, founded in 1978 is dedicated to preserving the heritage of quilting and promoting excellence and education in the art of quilt making. A 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, the guild meets the first Monday of every month at the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Members and guests present their recent work. Retreats, Workshops, and Sew In's along with area Bee Groups provide man other venues for activities. The guild supports various charity efforts that provide small quilts for babies and toddlers, at several organizations in Austin as well as "Red White" and Blue lap quilts for the Bun Center at Lackland AFB in San Antonio.
