Frances Borowsky, cellist joins the LSO for Elgar's moving Cello Concerto, one of the two most frequently performed cello concertos in the international repertoire. An American cellist who has performed as soloist in over thirty countries, including some of the world's leading concert venues, she is also known for her cooperation with siblings, violinist Emmanuel Borowsky and pianist Elizabeth Borowsky, in The Borowsky Trio. The LSO will also perform the Brahms Symphony No. 2, and Jennifer Higdon's blue cathedral, an enthralling work which she describes as "a story commemorating living and passing through places of knowledge and of sharing and of the song called life."
