The Burlington-based arts collaborative Shelter Cultivation Project is celebrating the culmination of its year-long collaborative arts project with a gallery exhibition and pop-up shop starting Thursday, August 5 at the Karma Bird House Gallery in Burlington, Vt. The show and shop will run through November 1. The Opening reception on August 5 is open to the public from 6-8 pm. The Exhibition & Pop Up Shop are open daily from 8 am - 3 pm (closed Sundays).
The Shelter Cultivation Project was started by local artist Shawn Dumont at the start of the COVID pandemic as a way to connect artists during an isolating time, with the overall goal of strengthening the broader arts community in Vermont. The response from artists was so strong that the project quickly expanded its reach throughout the northeast and even internationally.
