Paint Cedarburg- A Plein Air Event

One of the biggest art lover’s festival in Wisconsin is Paint Cedarburg A Plein Air event June 5-12, 2021. Artists will be painting plein air (outside) in Cedarburg, Ozaukee County and on the Lake Michigan coastline. Cedarburg Artist Guild Plein Air Event is celebrating our 20th anniversary this year, this Plein Air (outdoor) painting festival has attracted hundreds and hundreds of spectators and up to 150 artists each year from across the country making it one of the largest gathering of artists and collectors in Wisconsin. Artists flock to Ozaukee County to capture the beauty of Cedarburg, Ozaukee County’s rolling, farm-specked countryside and beautiful Lake Michigan coastline. Local and nationally recognized artists alike will spend the week painting outside, capturing the environs as the natural light and shadows change throughout each day.

For our 20th anniversary we are including a Paint the Lake competition as well as our Paint Cedarburg competition that captures the beauty of tranquil Wisconsin. This festival is perfect for an art enthusiast, families and collectors who can all enjoy an unprecedented opportunity to spend time with the artist as they work, and even purchase the art they watched come to life. More than 500 paintings are exhibited. Festival goers can purchase art right off the easel at the Fresh From Cedarburg Event on June 6, or visit the Main event exhibit at the Cedarburg Cultural Center on June 11- 12 to find the perfect piece to take home. We will be following all safety and social distancing guidelines for the health and welfare of our community and event participants.
