The Eyes of Freedom Traveling Memorial is a poignant tribute dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of the Marines and Navy Corpsman of Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines, who were killed in action during their deployment to Iraq in 2005. The memorial features life-sized portraits, created by artist and military veteran, Dave Roever, that vividly capture the faces of these fallen heroes. It stands as a powerful reminder of the human cost of war and the enduring bond of camaraderie shared among service members.

The Eyes of Freedom memorial has traveled across the United States to raise awareness of the sacrifices made by military personnel, as well as to provide a space for reflection, remembrance, and connection for veterans, families, and the general public. Each portrait in the memorial represents a life lost, but also tells a larger story of service, dedication, and resilience. The traveling exhibit offers visitors the opportunity to engage with the history of these individuals and the broader impact of military service, encouraging ongoing conversations about honor, sacrifice, and healing.

Through this memorial, the Eyes of Freedom not only pays tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, but also serves as a source of healing and support for veterans and their families, fostering a deeper understanding of their experiences.
